Homestay Accommdation:

Make the most of your stay in London with carefully selected Homestay accommodation. You will feel at home and be able to practise your English in friendly surroundings. You will have your own room, and you can choose between 3 meal options: self-catering (you cook for yourself), breakfast only, or breakfast and dinner.

Homestay in London Zones 2 - 5 is provided through an accommodation agency.

Shared rooms are only available if you are coming with another person at the same time and leaving at the same time. Oxford House College is in Zone 1.

Hosts will provide 2 loads of washing per week for students. Linen and towels are provided by the host and are changed weekly.

All accommodation is generally Sunday to Sunday.  

All students under 18 years must to be placed with a halfboard option.

Friendship House

Friendship House is a new, architect-designed, self-catering residence. Well situated in historic Southwark it is close to a number of underground stations including Southwark, Elephant and Castle, Borough and Waterloo, giving easy access to both the City and the West End. The Tate Modern Gallery, the Globe Theatre and Southwark Cathedral are in easy walking distance.

The House has accommodation for 179 residents in en-suite bedrooms, mostly single but with some double bedrooms and nine rooms designed for residents with physical disabilities.

The House is attractively designed with two lounges and a TV room overlooking a water feature, a garden room and a quiet room. Self-catering kitchens are provided for groups of ten residents who provide their own food and cooking utensils. There are two lifts, a laundry and vending machines.

Please note that Friendship House has cabled internet access in each room.


Check-in time is from 11.30 am until 8.00 pm - Sunday.  You must advise us of your arrival time.  You will be required to pay a refundable deposit of £30 for your room key.

The opening hours are from 08:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday, and at weekends from 09:00 to 14:00. In case of an emergency there is always a member of staff on call - contact details can be found on the office window.

Shared kitchens are located in each floor. Please leave the kitchen clean and tidy after use. Utensils and cooking equipment are not provided.

You are welcome to bring or buy your own crockery and cutlery. If you would prefer to borrow some, Friendship House can lend you a Kitchen Pack for a returnable deposit of £15. Please ask at Friendship House Reception on arrival.

All rooms are cleaned daily. Please ensure you make your own bed and leave your room tidy.

The bed linen is changed weekly on Wednesday depending of day of arrival. You are required to bring your own towel.

The site offers self-catering accommodation in En-Suite rooms. All the rooms have a mini fridge, free Internet connection, wardrobe, desk, drawers of which one is lockable. Other facilities includes a TV room on the 1st floor, the Lounge room on the Ground floor and the Quiet Study room linked with the reception via a green slate walk way which runs through the central courtyard  and bridges the pool.

Choose from a variety of fitness activities with treadmills, rowers, weights sections and cable workout stations. Modern gyms allow you the freedom to live your London life and stay healthy. There is a coin operated laundry facility located in the basement. Our vending machines are located on the Ground floor.

Travel time is up to 30 minutes. The nearest Underground Station is Elephant and Castle served by the Bakerloo and Northern Line.

Summer Residences (21st June - 30th August 2020):

We have a great selection of residences available only during summer at Oxford House College, allowing us to offer accommodation to everyone's taste. Located in zone 1 all of our summer residences enjoy a commute of less than 30 minutes, giving you the easiest possible journey to college. The residences are modern and refurbished to a high standard.
