It consists of apartments that accommodate 3 students each. Students are housed in single private rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Some rooms have a half bath (sink and toilet) ensuite with walk in closet.  These rooms are available for an extra fee.  A common kitchen, living room, bathroom and shower are available to all residents of the student house at a ratio of 1 to 3.

All rooms are fully furnished private lockable rooms with a single bed, closet, desk, chair and bedside table. Each unit has a balcony where students can enjoy some fresh air and warm summer evenings with their housemates.  The  student house is also equipped with wireless Internet. The entire apartment unit is heated in the winter months and professionally cleaned on a weekly basis. There are laundry facilities on the basement level of the apartment at a cost of $2.50 per wash and $2.00 for drying.  Additionally, there is a fitness room with free weights and exercise machines.  Free Yoga classes are offered every Wednesday evening in the fitness room.  The building has 24/7 security and utilizes a key FOB entry system.

A new set of sheets, a pillow, and a blanket is provided for every student upon their arrival to the student house. Students are then expected to wash and maintain their sheets, blankets and pillows. Additional Information

It is important for all students living at the student house to understand some very important points so they know what to expect.

The student house is not a hotel.  It is an apartment shared by max 3 students. Although the apartment is cleaned once a week, students are responsible for cleaning their room and keeping the entire apartment tidy. Students are expected to clean their dirty dishes and keep the apartment common areas tidy at all times. Even though we provide some basic kitchen necessities, we do not provide all the kitchen equipment and cooking tools some students may be accustomed to. If students are in need of specific kitchen tools for cooking, they will need to provide their own. These items may be purchased at one of the shops close by.  We provide, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans and some other basic cooking and food preparation tools. There is a refrigerator, oven, stove and microwave in each kitchen.

Students are not allowed to have guests in the student house.  This includes students staying in other units at the student house.  There are to be no house parties or gatherings at the student house.  Noise complaints will not be tolerated. Failure to follow the no guest rule and/or if students receive noise complaints from the building management will result in immediate eviction from the student house with a refund of the unused portion of the accommodation fees less 4 weeks.  Students arriving on the weekend will have to make sure they have the right information from us, or from their agency, for getting room keys. There is no front desk or reception on Saturdays, Sundays or after hours, however you can call the emergency phone if you need assistance finding your keys and checking in. If you have any questions regarding the student house, please contact our student services department at: toronto@ohcenglish.com
